Who operates FTL Rates

FTL Rates is operated by Optimus Technology Inc. This notice describes how we handle information for FTL Rates accounts, company verification, rate searches and optional text quoting. Contact support@ftlrates.com with privacy questions.

Information we handle and why

We use your name, email address, email verification status and account information to provide and secure your account. Authentication records may include password hashes where a password is set, session identifiers, expiration times, IP addresses and browser information. We use cookies for sign-in and preferences such as theme.

We use company details, MC or USDOT numbers, public FMCSA contact and classification records, memberships and invitations to establish business access. We retain verification evidence, its source and date, membership decisions and security audit records to enforce permissions and investigate misuse. Company owners and administrators can view and manage relevant membership and invitation information. Broker affiliations and approved business-separation decisions affect access to restricted information.

We process the lane and equipment you request to return historical rate information. We record identifiers for your first five deliberate successful web searches to control an optional text-quoting reminder. That reminder does not limit web searching.

Optional text quoting

If you enroll when text quoting is available, we use your own mobile number to check that it is a supported mobile line, verify possession and reply to your lane requests. Twilio processes the number, verification and messages; mobile carriers also process messages for delivery.

Our application stores the number's account association, verification and consent records, opt-out state, message identifiers and delivery status. Our application's SMS records do not store verification codes or message bodies. Twilio and carriers process message content and delivery information under their own service policies and settings; this statement is not a promise that those providers retain no message content.

Text quoting is optional and does not subscribe you to marketing. Mobile numbers and SMS consent records are not sold or shared with third parties, affiliates or lead generators for their marketing or promotional use. We may provide this information to service providers solely as needed to operate, deliver and support FTL Rates texting. Your consent does not authorize another business to market to you by text.

Service providers and other disclosures

We use Amazon Web Services for application hosting, storage and email delivery, and Twilio for mobile checks, verification and texting. Authorized personnel and service providers may access information as needed to operate and support the service. We may also disclose information when required by law or as necessary to address fraud, security incidents or misuse. These disclosures do not authorize marketing use of your mobile number or SMS consent records.

Retention and your choices

We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain accounts and permissions, preserve consent and opt-out records, address security or disputes, and meet applicable legal obligations. Retention varies by record and purpose; backups and service-provider records can have separate retention periods.

Reply STOP or disable text quoting in your account to stop quote texts. You may receive an opt-out confirmation. Stopping texts does not delete your account or automatically erase verification, consent, opt-out or security records. Phone reverification is separate from data retention.

To request access, correction or deletion of personal information, contact support@ftlrates.com. We will verify your identity and, when relevant, your authority to act for a company, then review the request under applicable law. Some records may need to remain for security, consent, legal obligations or other users' company access. You can continue eligible web searches without enrolling in text quoting.

Updates

We will update this notice when our practices change and show its effective date. New data integrations will be accompanied by applicable disclosures and consent before they collect additional information through your account.
